Sinopse: A paixão do cineasta Roberto Farias pelo cinema é revelada pela filha Marise Farias através de um olhar intimista, desde a infância até sua atuação política, econômica e cultural no Cinema Brasileiro. Através do próprio Roberto Farias e de amigos como Luís Carlos Barreto, Cacá Diegues e Zelito Viana, o filme conta as histórias do diretor que conquistou um diálogo direto com o público através de sucessos como O Assalto ao Trem Pagador (1962), a trilogia com o cantor Roberto Carlos (1968 a 1971) e Pra Frente Brasil (1982). Textos de um livro inédito de memórias são interpretados por seu irmão, o ator Reginaldo Faria.
