As opiniões e as rotinas distintas são decisivas para sublinhar a realidade que compartilham como palestinas sob o domínio israelense e enquanto mulheres em uma sociedade dominada por homens. No entanto, apesar desses contrastes, a mãe e a intelectual partilham a mesma luta por liberdade e dignidade.
