Sinopse: A candidatura do secretário principal do partido da oposição, Enrico Oliveri (Toni Servillo), não esta indo tão bem quanto planejada. Uma noite, após um debate, ele desaparece. Seu assessor e sua esposa dão início a uma busca sobre o porquê do desaparecimento e se mais alguém esta envolvido nessa história. De repente, o secretário reaparece, agindo de forma diferente. Suas atitudes surpreendem a todos e fazem a cotação do partido subir. Tudo vai bem até que alguém resolve segui-lo.
