Gravado em vídeo colorido no sábado, 17 de junho de 1967. O show, patrocinado pela Rheingold Beer, e gratuito ao público, foi realizado na seção Sheep Meadow do Central Park de Nova York. O patrocinador de televisão de Barbra, Monsanto, gravou o evento para exibição na CBS em uma data posterior. Barbra tirou um fim de semana das filmagens de Funny Girl para fazer o show. Na noite de sexta-feira, 16 de junho, Barbra e a equipe ensaiaram até muito tarde. Muitas fotos de Barbra em que ela usa uma faixa de cabeça foram tiradas na noite do ensaio geral. (A capa do Álbum de Natal de Barbra é na verdade uma foto do ensaio de sexta à noite no Central Park).
