Sinopse: Feluda, também conhecido como Pradosh Mitra, um detetive particular é convidado por um ex-zamindar rico (e um caçador aposentado) no Norte de Bengala. A tarefa é resolver um enigma que foi escrito por um ancestral há muito tempo. O enigma aparentemente contém pistas para encontrar um tesouro escondido que pertence à família dos Zamindar. Quando Tarit Sengupta, o secretário pessoal do Zamindar, é morto em circunstâncias misteriosas, Feluda descobre que Tarit já havia resolvido o enigma e estava roubando o tesouro quando foi morto. Então o mistério se agrava, pois há muitos suspeitos. No final, o Tigre comedor de gente aparece para dar uma nova dimensão à história. Como Feluda resolve isso? Veja para acreditar.
