Manay Po!
Manay Po tells the story of Luz, a small time jeweler who dreams of making it big so as to provide a better life for her family. Her life revolves around her brood of three, namely, Oscar, Orson and Orwell and her live-in boyfriend Gerry. With the help of her good friend and maid Maritess, Luz was able to raise her children normally despite the absence of a husband. In spite of her children's questionable sexualities, their family paints a picture of a happy family - a home filled with laughter and unconditional love.
30 Years to Life
First of all, the title does not refer to someone sentenced to jail. It is a movie about 6 lifetime friends who are all hitting the big `3-0' together during the same year. Each one looks inside themselves to see where has my life gone and what am I going to do with my future. Actually, what I saw was a black Seinfeld comedy. Tracy Morgan, who is one of the main characters, is a struggling comedian just like Jerry Seinfeld. He gives his opinion of what women want in a man in one of his comedy routines. Melissa De Sousa is looking for a man before time runs out. She is just like Elaine in Seinfeld. I don't remember the big problem with turning thirty, however, all the characters in this movie can show you what they are, such as not having fame, riches, a husband, a thin body, and staying young. Their life stories are probably repeated many times around the world.

Documentary producer Jung has won a documentary award. Unfortuately for Jung, the documentary was a trumped-up story and PD Jung has been demoted to a position in the province which he doesn't like. He is just spending his time drinking alcohol and hanging out with ladies in a bar. One day, he hears about a hundred year old wild ginseng from Jung-bae, who is a wild ginseng broker. PD Jung thinks this is a great chance to be reinstated in his position in Seoul. So, he goes and visits Sun-sam, who is famous for finding wild ginseng, a so-called 'Simmani', to get permission for filming a documentary with Jung-bae and Sang-gook, his additional production personnel(AD). Finally, he gets permission from Sun-sam and starts to film. However, people feel something very weird, and some of them get killed while they film the documentary in the middle of the mysterious mountain. PD Jung decides to find out the secrets people are hiding.

Life, however, is not easy on the prairie and after a crop lost to hail, the loss of their baby son, the burning down of their house, and a terrible bout of diphtheria, the Wilders must make some hard choices about how to move on from the tragedies.
