Comandante
Comandante se passa no início da Segunda Guerra Mundial. Em outubro de 1940, enquanto navegava no Atlântico na calada da noite, o comandante Todaro se deparou com um navio mercante armado que viajava com as luzes apagadas, que ele posteriormente afundou com tiros de canhão. Ele então decide salvar os 26 marinheiros belgas fadados a se afogar no meio do oceano, transportando-os para o porto seguro mais próximo, conforme exige a lei do mar. Mas, para recebê-los em seu submersível, ele é forçado a navegar no nível da superfície por três dias, tornando sua própria embarcação visível para as forças inimigas e colocando em risco sua própria vida e a de seus homens.

Está disposta a levar a sua amiga com ela, mas a garota agora mora num monastério, onde acredita ter encontrado um lar e a fé. Sem entender a amiga, Alina passa a enfrentar constantemente um padre local. Ele, por sua vez, passa a acreditar que a jovem está possuída. O filme venceu as Palmas de melhor atriz (Cosmina Stratan e Cristina Flutur) e melhor roteiro (Cristian Mungiu) no Festival de Cannes.
