Sinopse: Frei Martinho, decano de um convento, luta pela urbanização de uma favela num morro do Rio de Janeiro. A jovem Celina o auxilia na alfabetização e o Dr. Roberto na assistência médica. O morro pertence ao pai do playboy Aloisio, que pretende conquistar Celina. Por falta de dinheiro, as obras de alvenaria do morro estão prestes a serem paralisadas, até que Celina propõe aos três jovens sacerdotes que cantem à paisana num programa de calouros da TV.
