In 1588, a castaway from the Spanish Armada, sent from Portugal by Philip II of Spain to conquer England, is captured on an Irish beach. There he is tried, declared guilty and hanged to death. All of this would be reasonable according to the laws of war and hatred among humans. The problem is the prisoner is a monkey.
A synthesis of sound and movement; colourful characters dance and move in repetitive patterns to percussive and melodic elements. A combination of motion and music that is hypnotic and beautiful. At first it feels structured and orderly but as more elements are added becomes quixotically expressive.
After initially turning down an assignment to investigate whether a child is taken care of by her father, as children are not really her thing, Sophie reconsiders it when she needs an escape after her boyfriend suggests starting a family.
Parker, a successful advice columnist, and her best friend Aaron have been inseparable since childhood. She knows everything about him, including the fact that he doesn't love his fiancé. Desperate for help, Parker pens an anonymous letter to her own column asking for advice. Unexpectedly, she learns about her own feelings instead.
Set amidst the civil war of Algeria in the 1990s, Enough! is the story of two women. Emel is a Westerner whose husband, a journalist, is missing - perhaps kidnapped or even killed for articles he's written.
An aquatic journey
This program features both a 1977 documentary and a 1974 concert from British cult favorite folk-rockers Barclay James Harvest, who created their trademark style by using symphonic instruments along with more typical rock instruments. The 1974 Drury Lane concert from the London Theatre Royal includes the songs "Crazy City" and "For No One," while the 1977 footage includes performances of "Hymn," "Polk Street Rag" and more.
