Sinopse: A cidade de Nova Orleans, EUA, sofre uma onda de violência e de crimes que parecem fora de controle após a passagem do furacão Katrina. Neste cenário, um chefão das drogas da cidade consegue sair da prisão com a ajuda de seu tio. Contudo, para isso, ele precisa pagar a quantia de 15 milhões de dólares pela liberdade. O dinheiro está escondido com sua ex-namorada. Agora, fora das grades, ele precisa convencer a garota a lhe dizer onde colocou o dinheiro, livrar-se de umm criminoso que quer vingar a morte da sobrinha e ainda se manter fora do alcance de um dedicado detetive que quer recapturá-lo.
