Sinopse: Numa sexta-feira à noite, em Lake Placid, em Nova York, um grupo de universitários norte-americanos surpreendeu a abalada equipe nacional soviética, na competição de hóquei nas Olimpíadas de Inverno de 1980. Os americanos começaram a acreditar em milagres naquela noite. Quando os membros da equipe americana conquistaram a medalha de ouro dois dias depois, eles se tornaram um time histórico.
