Peter arrives in Helsingør to marry Bitten. He is accompanied by Kanusti, who is to be his best man. However, upon arrival, his mother-in-law's dislike of Peter is immediately apparent. The property's first general meeting with the guys in the stairwell – and the presentation of the first annual accounts – are golden scenes from the golden age of Danish family films.
