Gunpowder

At the end of September 1941, Soviet artillery troops in besieged Leningrad realize that pretty soon they will fire their last shot, and after that the defense of the city will be doomed. The film is based on a true event: a small group of fearless soldiers transported a large supply of gunpowder through enemy lines to Leningrad.

Cursed

A group of friends stumble across a jewellery box with a curse. Fighting for their life in the wilderness, they are picked off one by one by a malevolent force.

Brazil

Brazil is perhaps the best of the handful of US films made by Brazilian singing sensation Tito Guizar. In typical screwball-comedy fashion, the plot is set in motion by authoress Nicky Henderson, who has hit the best-seller charts with her latest tome, Why Marry a Latin? While researching her next book in Rio De Janeiro, she finds out "why" when she meets handsome songwriter Miguel Soares. Upon learning about Nicky's book, Miguel decides to teach her a few lessons in the affairs of the heart. Edward Everett Horton is also on hand, twittering his way through the role of a well-meaning buttinsky. Thanks to the "Good Neighbor" policy of the 1940s, South American musicals were a glut on the market, but Brazil was good enough on its own merits to pay its way at the box office.

PURSUITERS

“PURSUITERS” is a comedy film where three friends set up a yard sale to buy a game they really want. They end up selling one of the friends grandmas ashes, so now they have to go run around town looking for it.

On Thin Ice

Two KGB agents are fighting against foreign spies before and during WWII.

Love, Post-Lockdown

Isolating alone, anxious James clings to his social distance rituals, despite restrictions having been lifted. But after locking eyes with the sparky Sam, James must decide whether to step outside of his bubble or remain within it forever.

Range Roads

A television actor returns home to deal with family tragedy.

The Open Road

In the summer of 1924 Claude Friese-Greene, a pioneer of colour cinematography, set out from Cornwall with the aim of recording life on the road between Land’s End and John O’Groats. Entitled The Open Road, his remarkable travelogue was conceived as a series of shorts, 26 episodes in all, to be shown weekly at the cinema. The result is a fascinating portrait of inter-war Britain, in which town and country, people and landscapes are captured as never before, in a truly unique and rich colour palette.
