The unsolved case is called Case 64 ('rokuyon'). 2002: Yoshinobu Mikami, who was the detective in charge of the Case 64, moves as a Public Relations Officer in the Police Affairs Department. Enquanto o time tenta se firmar novamente, Rachel Phelps (Margaret Whitton) vende o time e, após algum tempo, o recompra com um grande lucro, apesar de continuar indiferente ao seu sucesso. Talvez a salvação do time esteja em Jake Taylor (Tom Berenger), atuando com técnico, fazer as modificações certas e Rick "Wild Thing" Vaughn (Charlie Sheen) conseguir voltar a lançar a "Exterminadora", uma bola com tanto efeito que engana o melhor dos rebatedores.
