Sinopse: Alberto Nardi é um empresário romano que se imagina um homem de grande capacidade, mas cuja fábrica está perenemente à beira da catástrofe. Alberto é casado com uma rica e bem sucedida mulher de negócios de Milão, Elvira Almiraghi que tem uma atitude no-nonsense e mal consegue tolerar as tentativas de seu marido para manter sua fábrica à tona com seu dinheiro. Alberto tenta "manter-se" com sua esposa e seus amigos ricos e bem-sucedidos, mas ele só consegue ridicularizar a si mesmo. Divertindo-se com suas travessuras Elvira trata publicamente seu marido como um palhaço bobo, confiante de que ele nunca vai deixá-la na esperança de lucrar com sua fortuna.

After leaving a note on a parked car he believes he damaged, he continues down the road only to come across a dead body a few miles down which he later discovers belongs to one of Siena’s most important luminaries. Michele immediately calls the police, but in doing so, he unwittingly brings intense suspicion on himself as his uncertainty raises more questions than he has answers for.
