Sinopse: Orange, Virginia. Hank Cavanaugh (James Brolin), um grande proprietário da região, morreu há um ano e 2ª esposa, a bela Linda Dupree Cavanaugh (Natasha Henstridge), ficou conhecida como “a viúva da colina”. Tudo começou quando ela foi trabalhar como enfermeira para os Cavanaugh, pois Felicia (Michelle Duquet), a 1ª mulher de Hank, estava morrendo. A função de Linda era abrandar o sofrimento na fase terminal, mas antes mesmo que ela morresse, Jenny (Jewel Staite), uma das filhas do casal, viu Linda tratando o pai tão afetuosamente que isto provocou sua revolta, pois Felicia estava morrendo no andar de cima e Linda já estava começando a seduzir Hank. Após a morte de Felicia, Hank teve um luto bem curto e todos sabiam, que Hank já estava envolvido com Linda. Logo após se casarem ficou claro que ela manipulava Hank e, regularmente, era infiel. Quando se tornou suspeita de ter matado Hank decidiu dar uma entrevista à um rede de televisão, para expôr sua versão dos fatos.
