Early morning silence is broken by screeching tires as a helicopter bears down on a speeding vehicle. Taking a quick corner, the team tumbles out into the woods as their car pulls away. A bookshop renowned for its rare works is mysteriously and filled with copies of a book entitled 1, which doesn't appear to have a publisher or author. The strange almanac describes what happens to humanity in a minute. A police investigation begins and the bookshop staff are placed in solitary confinement by the Bureau for Paranormal Research. As the investigation progresses, the situation becomes more complex and the book becomes increasingly well-known, raising numerous controversies. Plagued by doubts, the protagonist has to face facts: reality only exists in the imagination of individuals.

O filme se passa em cima de uma mesa de trabalho, e conta a história de um papai-luminária e do seu simpático filho chamado Luxo Jr., que encontra uma pequena bola e começa a brincar com seu pai. Luxo Jr. acidentalmente fura a bola, estragando toda a brincadeira, e fica muito triste e sai de cena, mas no mesmo momento ele volta já brincando com uma bola maior do que ele mesmo. O todo-poderoso rei dos macacos vagava livremente entre o céu e a terra, mas depois de irritar os deuses, ele foi preso dentro de uma gaiola de gelo no fundo das montanhas. 500 anos depois, monstros atacam uma pequena aldeia e uma criança foge para as montanhas. Sem saber, a criança libera o Rei Macaco de sua maldição. Com a ajuda e incentivo desta criança especial, Rei Macaco salva a aldeia dos monstros do mal.
