Tom is chasing Jerry again. In a panic, the mouse runs into the doghouse of little Tyke, the bulldog. Right next to the sleeping Tyke sleeps Spike, his father. Tom unthinkingly snatches the puppy out of his house. When Spike wakes up and sees this, he delivers a stern warning: Stay away from my boy, or else. Jerry realizes that sticking close to the boy is the best way to repel his feline tormentor, but Tom is not about to let the mouse evade him so easily.

The health conscious, dairy-farming Higgins family begin each day with an invigorating swim. One day, traveling health-tonic salesman, Windy Weebe, comes to town and suggests they could swim the English Channel. Sponsored by "Liquapep" and coached by Windy, the family arrive in Europe. There it is decided that daughter Katie is the only one strong enough to enter the contest. But while she should be focused on the difficult and risky task ahead, Katie is pursed by dashing Frenchman, André Lanet... This comedic musical is well remembered for the scene when Katie dreams she is swimming with cartoon characters Tom & Jerry!

Após ser "convidada a se retirar" de sua colônia de férias e como os pais em Malibu uma garota de 12 anos, Sara Newton (Daveigh Chase), vai até Quicksilver, uma pequena cidade, para ficar com Freddy Kablinski (Dave Thomas), seu tio. Sara vai com Beethoven, seu gigantesco cão São Bernardo, e crê que terá as férias mais tediosas da sua vida. Freddy tem um jeito de ser nada convencional, assim como vários moradores da cidade, mas isto não a chateia de forma nenhuma. O que vai movimentar mesmo esta fériasé Beethoven ter achado uma nota de 1920, que provavelmente foi roubada por Moe (Rodman Fendler) e Rita Selig (Tina Illman), um casal de ladrões que supostamente morreu quando o carro deles caiu no rio. Como muitos acreditam que todo o dinheiro roubado por Moe e Rita está na região, uma caça ao tesouro tem início e sai do controle quando alguns dos moradores estão dispostos a fazer qualquer coisa para achar o dinheiro.
