José Leôncio, um peão de comitiva que chegou com o Pai Joventino ao Pantanal, onde compraram uma fazenda e começaram a criar gado de corte. José Leôncio e seu pai caçavam marruás, um tipo de boi selvagem que vivia solto pelas matas da região, aumentando, assim, o rebanho na fazenda. Um certo dia, Zé Leôncio viajou com os peões em comitiva e pediu para que seu pai não fosse caçar marruá sozinho. Entretanto, o velho Joventino acabou indo caçar e desapareceu na imensidão do Pantanal. A história tem ainda um lado sobrenatural, baseado no fascinante folclore da região Pantaneira: os principais personagens, com exceção de José Leôncio, frequentemente se deparam com uma figura conhecida como "O Velho do Rio", um curandeiro idoso que cuida das pessoas atacadas pela jararaca boca-de-sapo, uma cobra venenosa, ou que simplesmente se perdem na extensão do Pantanal. Todos comentam que o Velho do Rio é o Pai de todas as sucuris, que ele se transforma em sucuri, também sendo ele a maior de todas.
A story of Qaseh Arina (Adiba Yunus) raised by her grandmother, Nek Dew (Liza Abdullah). Nek Dew is a well-known midwife with many tips. Ever since she was a child, Qaseh has been following her grandmother receiving the birth of the babies and Qaseh wants to be like her grandmother. Each of the Nek Dew tips, Qaseh notes down on her notebook. Nek Dew's tips were brought to Qaseh until she continued her studies at a university in Kuala Lumpur. Qaseh had a lot of heartwarming moves with Nek Dew's tips to the point that it was used on her university friends. The townspeople do not believe Qaseh's tips. However, Qaseh's tips help solve the problem of Nash (King of Afiq), a rich and handsome guy but with a bad body odor. Since then they have been good friends. Many acts of the tips that made her roommate admitted to the hospital because of allergies due to Qaseh's ingredients. Qaseh was scolded and driven out of their rental home. What will happen to Qaseh? Does he still adhere to the Nek Dew tips? The emergence of a mysterious woman who claims to be Qaseh's "mother" made the last two episodes full of questions. Robinson Ekspeditionen is a popular Danish reality television program debuting in 1998. In the spring of 1998 TV3 purchased the broadcast rights to air their own version of Expedition Robinson. Following the success of the Swedish version, Denmark was the first country to adopt their own version of the show. The show has proven to be a ratings success since its premiere in 1998. The name alludes to both Robinson Crusoe and The Swiss Family Robinson, two stories featuring people marooned by shipwrecks.

Varan-TV was a Swedish TV-series, broadcast in Sveriges Television for two seasons, the first one in 1997 and the second in 1998. Created by the comedian group Varanteatern. The first season contained six half-hour episodes and the second season eight. In the first season Varanteatern represented themselves as a "crazy peep-show with more than 400 kg on stage". The episodes were a mixture of sketches played in front of an audience and prerecorded clips. Both of these elements were closely connected, for example: One person acting in a prerecorded clip which was shown could in the next second appear on the scene set. Some characters could appear repeatedly during an episode and also reappear in other episodes. The second season was composed of different sketches but now without the studio scenes.
Konno Hiroya is a high school student who loves the radio and belongs the broadcasting club. When he is told by the teacher that the club must be disbanded he manages to negotiate and is granted a four month grace period before the club is to be abolished. Meanwhile, a trivial quarrel between Hiroya and his classmate Ooga Kenta ends up being broadcasted by accident, which in turn creates a petite buzz throughout the school and leads to the two working together on the school’s lunchtime radio show.
