Michio (Kyoko Fukada) é uma mulher de 30 anos que está passando por momentos difíceis. A empresa em que ela trabalhava faliu, deixando-a desempregada. Ela tem tentado repetidamente encontrar um novo emprego desde então, mas não obteve sucesso em nenhuma das vezes.
