Hezar Dastan
Hezar-Dastan was an Iranian epic historical drama television series from 1987, developed and directed by Ali Hatami. Hezar Dastan is considered one of the most important and most influential works of art in the history of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting. The production of the show took almost 8 years, starting in 1979 and ending in 1987, during which Hatami established a large set to represent Tehran in both Qajar dynasty and World War II, retroactively creating Iran's first movie studio and backlot (named Ghazali Cinema Town). The show tells the story of Reza Khoshnevis (also known as Reza Tofangchi), and his life and entanglement with corruption in government, and trying to correct it using not conventional means. The story is split into two section and it features Iran during the turbulent times of the latter days of Qajar Dynasty and during the events of World War II and Anglo-Soviet invasion of Iran.

Gun Metal Grey is a 2010 Hong Kong police procedural television drama produced by Television Broadcasts Limited. It originally aired on Jade from 1 November to 10 December 2010, consisting of 30 episodes. Gun Metal Grey is a dramatisation and fictional telling of Hong Kong's top ten criminal cases, which tells about the complexities of human nature and the strangeness of truth. Gun Metal Grey is written by Lau Choi-wan and Leung Yan-tung, with Terry Tong serving as the executive producer. The drama is one of two grand TVB productions to celebrate the channel's 43rd anniversary, the other being No Regrets, both were the first to be broadcast live in English subtitles. The Chinese title of Gun Metal Grey literally means "criminal police", which can also be used to a describe a cop who commits a crime. During early promotions for the drama, the year "2010" was attached to the Chinese title to prevent confusion with previous dramas of a similar title. The English title is a wordplay on the colour of guns, a representation of criminal justice, and Felix Wong's character Stone Sir, a cop who finds himself trapped in a grey area of morality.

Set in the Edo period, Kanou Toshu studied medicine in Nagasaki and lives on the outskirts of Senju-juku . He is also a master of the Mugai Ryu sword style. Although he has skills in medicine, he is also a big drinker and often drinks all day and falls asleep, or drinks at night and does not go home. Teppan is a Japanese television drama that aired on NHK in 2010–2011. It was the 83rd Asadora. It starred a new actress, Miori Takimoto, in the role of a young woman raised by an adopted family in Onomichi who learns of her real grandmother and decides to move to Osaka to start an okonomiyaki restaurant. The title word "teppan" refers to the metal surface on which okonomiyaki are cooked. The series, while interrupted by the Tohoku Earthquake, averaged a 17.2% rating, making it the fourth most popular of the Asadora dramas in the previous five years.
