Sinopse: Aos 24 anos, Ogata Makoto não gosta de mostrar sua verdadeira identidade nem de chamar atenção na vida privada ou no trabalho. Isso ocorre porque ela não quer ser odiada. Certa noite, Ogata Makoto sofreu um acidente. O acidente a faz perder a memória de si mesma. Ela encontra um anel masculino em sua bolsa, mas não se lembra para quem ia dar o anel. Logo, três homens aparecem na frente de Ogata Makoto, e o anel se encaixa perfeitamente em todos os três. Um deles se autoproclama seu ex-amante, um homem afirma ser seu único amigo e o outro afirma ser seu homem do destino. Cada um deles tem suas próprias mentiras.

Some of them are caught by the authorities because of informers. Suddenly, a series of brutal murders takes place in St. Petersburg: the victims are those who denounced the Decembrists. A piece of paper with lines from a poem by the young poet Alexander Pushkin invariably remains near the bodies of the dead. A Moscow detective and a nobleman released from arrest, Alexander Boshnyak, are taking over the investigation of the case.
