Sinopse: Serafina Rosa Petrone é uma secretária pobre, solteirona, romântica e atrapalhada. Moradora de um cortiço, dominada pelos pais italianos, Giovanni e Amália, seu maior sonho é casar. Todos os dias, Serafina compra uma rosa para si mesma e pede à floricultura que a envie ao escritório onde trabalha com um cartão escrito “Uma rosa com amor”. Ela é completamente apaixonada pelo patrão, o rico industrial francês Claude Antoine Geraldy. Porém, ama-o em segredo, já que ele mal repara nela.
