A história precede o caos que começou em Togenkyo, que é a terra sagrada onde humanos e demônios conviviam juntos em paz e se davam bem uns com os outros. Porém, após a tentativa de alguém usar a arte da química e magia juntos, utilizando uma escritura anciã, para dar vida novamente a Gyumao, o super demônio, um dos cinco deuses que governavam o céu. Genjo Sanzo, um sanzoboshi que é o mais alto grau que um monge pode alcançar, é chamado ao palácio Shayou Choanis . Ele é designado para ir as terras ao oeste, onde o caos começou, para descobrir quem está por trás de toda a crescente confusão e parar seu processo. Son Goku, Sha Gojyo, e Cho Hakkai são designados a se juntarem a ele. Sanzo não concordou em levá-los junto no começo, pois são três demônios, porém, cada um deles tem uma parte humana que sustenta suas sanidades.

Three girls meet for the first time at the start of a new semester in a brand new school. But these aren't just any girls, and this isn't just any school! Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, and Mega Drive might be the names of SEGA gaming consoles, but at Sehagaga Academy, they're also three girls destined for greatness, or at least a nostalgia trip. Wacky hijinks ensue when the girls are tested not on their math and science skills, but on their ability to complete challenges inside (literally!) classic SEGA video games. Can they fight their way through the blocky polygons of Virtua Fighter? Can their dance moves get them high enough ratings in Space Channel 5? And that isn't all! More challenges await on the road to gaining 100 medals in order to graduate, but the Sega Hard Girls won't let something like absurdity keep them down!

Chung Ka-po, Lam Siu-mei and Lee Ching-yee are sisterly buddies. Due to different reasons after graduation, the trio gradually go their separate ways. However, Chung Ka-kei, who is Ka-po’s fellow contestant and also younger stepsister, frames her. And then Ka-po manages to enter showbiz, which is more like a “battlefield”. She also befriends Pong Chun-yu, who is the son of some tycoon. After the couple get married, Ka-po finds herself in another “battlefield” that is the domain of some distinguished family. Moreover, Ka-po is drifting away from her two bosom girlfriends. Is it actually jealousy, dignity, wealth or something else that causes the friends to go cold on each other?
